The subscription plan lasts for a minimum of 12 months and is month-to-month after that. Cancel anytime after the 12 months have passed. If you cancel, you don’t keep the site (otherwise everyone would do that and we'd be out of business!).
-
You just have to sign a new 12-month contract.
-
If you cancel before the 12 months, you owe the full price of the site ($2,500) minus whatever you already paid. We prioritize long-term relationships with our clients and want clients to share the same philosophy.
-
Every invoice comes with a 7-day grace period. If an invoice is not paid within 7 days, a $25 late fee is applied. If you're on a subscription and multiple invoices remain overdue, we can cancel the contract and you will be responsible for paying the full price of the site. We are flexible and understanding of certain situations and often offer assistance, but if there is no communication, we have to make sure we’re paid for our time and effort.
-
We send email invoices via Square that has a link to a secure page for adding payment info. Subscriptions are paid with a credit card or debit card and we accept all major credit cards. Lump sum projects are paid with ACH bank transfer to minimize processing fees. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CHECKS OR MONEY ORDERS.
-
The $100 per additional page fee is one time. Not recurring. So if you need 3 extra pages, that’s $300 and you’re done. Not $300 a month. That would be crazy!
-
When you sign a contract, either lump sum or subscription, if we cannot design something you are 100% happy with and no longer want to move forward, then we will refund whatever you paid to get started. If we do end up moving forward with building the site, there are no refunds after that point. From then on, refunds are at our discretion.
-
Yes, subscriptions are indefinite. You keep paying every month after the 12-month minimum. It generally takes 2-3 years to match what a lump-sum site would have brought in. Ideally, clients stay at least 5 years so the model makes sense financially. By then, the website should generate more than $150 a month in value, so it essentially pays for itself, and we hope you continue to see the value in ongoing work.
-
No, there is no buyout price to stop paying on the monthly package. As noted in another question, it takes 2-3 years, including hosting fees, to match what a lump-sum site would bring. Subscriptions only work financially if a client stays for 5+ years. Waiting years for full payment and then replacing that subscription isn’t feasible. The recurring income lets me spend time supporting clients instead of constantly selling. If clients bought out frequently, the model would break down and so would the level of service.
-
Yes! I offer a $50-a-month subscription add-on for unlimited edits and support with a 12-month minimum commitment. There’s no turning it on and off every other month. If you end it and want to reinstate it, you’ll need to sign another 12-month commitment.
-
The biggest difference is long-term versus short-term costs. On subscription, you pay more over time but in small, manageable monthly payments. The lump sum gets it all out of the way up front, and you save more over the long run because design and development are paid for immediately. Deciding which to choose depends on cash flow and long-term versus short-term goals. If you don’t want to spend that much up front and value ongoing service, monthly is your best option. If you don’t want or need monthly service, you can pay up front and save over the long term.

Yes and no. SEO has two parts: on-page (content, load times, accessibility, structure) and off-page (link building, guest posting, citations, etc.). I include some on-page items in my packages, like fast load times, accessibility, meta tags, search console setup, sitemap generation, and some content creation. For broader SEO efforts, I can refer you to a trusted SEO specialist who handles that work separately.
-
No we do not. E-commerce is a lot more work to set up than a regular business site. Since it has such high costs, we cannot afford to set them up for $150 a month.
-
Yes, you always own your domain. We never take hostages!
-
SEO rates vary by scope. The more you want done, the more it will cost. Generally, the minimum base package is around $700 a month to start and scales based on how aggressive you want to be.
-
Yes it does! I’m sure it sounds biased coming from us, but GOOD SEO does work, especially if you’re in a competitive market because you’re going to need a lot of help to show up in the front page results against companies with dozens of pages, hundreds of backlinks, ranking for hundreds of keywords, and in multiple locations. SEO is not a short term switch you flip and it starts working. It’s a long term investment and strategy that takes time (6-12 months sometimes) to see its results.
-
Nope! And unless your site was featured in the New York Times or other large publications then you aren’t shooting to the top of the results in a month. You’ll get calls from spammers saying they can rank your site as #1 in less than 3 months. Just know that if it were that easy and guaranteed, then we’d all be number 1. Smaller markets might be easier to rank in a few months time. But it’s all up to Google. We can do everything right, but in the end it’s up to them and how fast or slow the site will rank and the competition you have in the area. We have plenty of case studies on current clients who are succeeding and doing very well that we can share as well and how long it took them to start ranking high.

The SEO specialists I refer to focus on high-quality content and meaningful optimization over tricks. As Google’s algorithms get smarter, well-crafted content is essential. They take a hands-on approach to copy, blending SEO expertise with strong writing to resonate with both search engines and people.
In a nutshell, content is the core of SEO. Your website content should directly address the questions your potential clients have. This achieves two outcomes: users see you as an expert and reach out, and Google recognizes your site’s authority, boosting rankings. The specialists I work with have extensive experience crafting successful content strategies.
-
I focus on web, SEO, and analytics. I can collaborate with your ad team or an agency by building fast landing pages and setting up conversion tracking so you know which campaigns convert.
-
Yes. A comprehensive SEO audit will identify every possible issue with your website and all areas of improvement. Sometimes issues are small and easy fixes; other times they’re more extensive. A proper audit is the first step for any SEO work because even great content and backlinks can be held back by fundamental technical flaws. Identifying problems early keeps your site running flawlessly.
-
SEO is a long term strategy and investment. You won’t see its returns immediately. Generally we like to allow 6-12 months to see the benefits of our campaigns and sometimes they can happen in less time. But it will not be an overnight raging success. It takes time and effort to get there. The competition will have websites that have been online for 10+ years and have built a reputation with Google over that time. Starting out as a new site means you have to build up that trust with Google if you want to take over those top spots. You can’t just kick down the door and say “hey Google, look at me!. Ignore your friends. I’m here to replace them”. We need to spend time and build your authority with google so that over time we can be as trusted as the others and overtake them.
-
I generally finish a website from start to finish within 2-4 weeks, depending on how quickly clients respond to content and image requests and on my schedule. Sometimes it can be 2 weeks, sometimes 3.
-
No, otherwise everyone would do that and we go out of business! But you keep your domain and assets.
-
Yes. We don’t take hostages. Even if we bought the domain for you, when you cancel your subscription with us we transfer the domain to you.
-
Nope! Everything I build uses custom handwritten code—no page builders. That’s what separates this work from others: the time and effort to do things differently shows in the sites and in clients’ online presence after launch.
-
Security, load times, maintainability, lower costs, easier customization, and less bloat because I don’t need plugins for everything. There’s no constant updating like with WordPress, where missing an update can lead to hacks. Custom-coded static sites have no databases to attack, so there’s far less to exploit.
-
I’m a solo developer. If something happens to me, there isn’t a backup team. You will always have ownership of your domain and assets, and I can provide access to code and accounts so you can engage any developer you choose in the future.
